Hunting in High School

When I was a junior, I was dating an Allred girl from Safford for about a month or two. we were discussing our families and we found out we both had the same grandfather but the families were from two different grandmothers. That ending our dating days.

Our junior year, Donny Santee, Adrian Gale and another guy and I went up the Coronado Trail to hunt deer. The kid who was supposed to get food for the five days, only brought bread. we had two pup tents and Donny brought a mattress. He and the other kid who shared the mattress got really wet when it started to rain because the mattress touched the sides of the tent and soaked up the rain. We were really hungry and didn't see any deer. We came upon the camp of some hunters from our town. They had killed a deer and were cooking liver and onions. I never liked liver before, but it tasted great that day. We never got any deer. Uncle Rob Johns had loaned us his Model A truck.
