The Summer of Selling the House

I was accepted at the USC Orthodontic School. I had to be down there before June. I got a little apartment down there and left Kaye and the kids in Alamo to sell the house. Kaye would get the house clean and then take them to the Diablo Valley Country Club which we had joined. They would spend the day swimming and then go home and put the kids to bed. In a month or so the house sold. I found a house to rent in Grenada Hills. It was cheap because the Division of Highways owned it. In two years they were going to knock it down and put a freeway there. I came up and helped Kaye pack. A couple of moving vans took our stuff and we were on our way to San Fernando Valley on Zelyah Street.
