After two years in Fremont, I moved my practice in Walnut Creek. I practiced in Walnut creek for two years and decided to go to Orthodontic School at USC in Los Angeles. I had a couple of interesting things happen to me while I was teaching at the UOP Dental School in San Francisco. I used to teach at the Crown and Bridge Department at the school two days a week. I drove my little VW back and forth to San Francisco. I went over the Bay Bridge each day. One day on the way home, I had my quarter in my hand to pay the toll at the toll booth. I must have been day dreaming because I went through the toll bool about 50 miles an hour and suddenly sirens went off and I realized I hadn't paid the toll. I backed up and gave them my quarter. He laughed and said, "You must have gone to sleep."
On the two days I taught at the Dental School I went to night classes at the University of San Francisco to get a master's degree in Education. I also taught classes in Dental Assisting at San Francisco City College.
One night after teaching at the Dental School I went out drinking with some students. When I got out the police had towed my VW away. Since I had been drinking I didn't dare go over to the impound yard to get my car. I had to call Kaye and have her drive all the way to San Francisco to get me. She had to put the kids in the car and pick me up by the Dental School and we went to the impound yard for Kaye to pick up the VW. She told me they checked her criminal record and fingerprinted her before they would give her the car. She drove the CW home and I drove our other VW. That was another time she really got mad at me.
